What you pay
Pick a villa and a length above. Every figure is the whole stay for two adults: the villa and its pool, breakfast, dinner for two, the return shared seaplane and every Maldivian tax.
Read the transfer line before the villa line. On the entry category the seaplane is roughly a third of what you pay. That is the price of Baa Atoll, not of this resort, and there is one way around it.
Pair it with Four Seasons Kuda Huraa and the seaplane can come free. Three or more nights at Four Seasons Kuda Huraa with three or more here earns complimentary return seaplane transfers for two. The best-value structure either resort offers. Ask us whether your dates carry it.
On the high-season dates the water villa stops being an upgrade. The Premier Oceanfront Bungalow and the Water Villa with Pool are priced level over three nights, where the water villa is dearer on earlier dates. On those dates, do not book the bungalow.
What’s included, and what isn’t
In the price: the villa and its pool, breakfast, dinner for two, the return seaplane, and every Maldivian tax.
Not in the price: your flights to Malé, travel insurance, lunch, every drink, the spa, diving, excursions, Indian TCS, and anything not named above.
Nothing to drink is inside any plan here, on breakfast, half board or full board. At this level the bar bill is not a rounding error and neither is the spa, so ask us to price the extras in. Children under five eat free, and breakfast covers four in a family villa.
Who this isn’t for
Anyone who came to snorkel off their own steps. The most modest reef of the major Baa islands, much of it grown on the resort’s own coral frames. The resort’s own snorkelling trip goes out by boat. Two neighbours in this atoll do it better.
Anyone who wants somewhere small. 103 villas across 44 acres, four restaurants, four pools, and many children in the school holidays.
Before you book
The seaplane is 35 to 40 minutes, daylight only, last departure around 15:00. Land at Velana in the evening and Four Seasons puts you at Kuda Huraa overnight and flies you across next morning: a second resort, not a lost night. Luggage is 20 kg checked plus 5 kg cabin, counted separately.
Come in manta season. Hanifaru Bay is in this atoll and the research team here helped found the Manta Trust. The aggregation runs roughly May to November, the cheaper half of the year. Whale sharks are in Ari Atoll, not Baa.
The children’s club is complimentary from four to twelve across two age-split programmes, and thirteen to eighteen get a paid marine biology course. Four Seasons sets no minimum age for a child in a water villa. Under-twelves stay free sharing. The festive period sits outside this offer.
