The house reef is the reason to book Baros over its neighbours. A sea wall about fifty feet out shelters a calm coral garden for nervous swimmers, and the drop-off just beyond holds turtles, blacktips and whitetips.
Three nights in a Deluxe Beach Villa on half board is ₹272,000 for two, all in from Malé. The shared speedboat takes 25 minutes and runs at any hour. The India rate holds to 22 December 2026, three nights minimum.
What this actually costs
Pick a villa and a package above and the figure is the whole stay for two adults: the villa, the meal plan, return shared speedboat transfers, the USD 12 per person per night green tax and every other tax. Flights to Malé are not in it.
- Travel in August or September. The entry villa is about ₹48,000 cheaper than the same stay from 1 October, and the Baros Suite nearly ₹94,000 cheaper. That is the widest gap on this rate.
- Full board is close to a wash. It adds roughly ₹36,000 per couple over three nights, which is near what lunch for two actually costs at Cayenne. Take it for the convenience, not the saving.
- Half board carries the better perk. It comes with a 30% discount on food at Cayenne and the Lighthouse, plus a one-time floating or in-villa breakfast and a sunset cruise for two. Full board drops that 30%.
The split stays are four nights, two nights in each of two villas. Any other combination prices on the extra-night rate, so ask and we will build it.
Who this isn’t for
Families with small children. This package prices an extra child at 8 to 11 only, there is no kids’ club, and the island suits couples and older children. Tell us if you have younger ones and we will point you at somewhere built for them.
Anyone who wants a big resort with several pools and a long list of bars: Baros is 75 villas and deliberately quiet. It is also 53 years old and close to Malé, so there is development visible in the distance. Guests who mind, mind. Most do not.
Before you book
- The Lighthouse catch. Full board includes a dinner there only on stays of four nights or more, so the three-night full board packages do not get it. If the Lighthouse is why you are coming, take a four-night split stay, or take half board and use the 30% discount.
- Honeymoon benefits start at three nights, so every package here qualifies: sparkling wine and chocolates, a candlelit dinner, a framed photo and bed decoration. Tell us you are celebrating when you book, not on arrival.
- Cancellation is generous for the Maldives. Free up to 31 days before arrival, 50% at 15 to 30 days, 100% inside 14. Early check-out and no-shows are charged in full.
- Wear something on your feet inside the sea wall. There is broken coral, and the sea outside it can get rough, so ask at the Marine Centre before you swim out.
