JOALI BEING is a well-living island rather than a resort with a spa, and the whole place is organised around four pillars: mind, skin, microbiome and energy. The India-market package for the Q4 shoulder season puts three nights in an Ocean Pool Villa at ₹8,73,600 for two, with half board, the return shared seaplane and green tax all inside the number.

The booking window closes on 10 October 2026, six weeks before the stay window ends. If your dates are between 11 October and 20 December, this rate has to be confirmed before then.

Sixty-eight villas, every one with a private pool and a Jadugar butler. On arrival you are assigned a personal consultant who shapes the stay around you.

What this actually costs

Totals for two adults for the whole stay, for arrivals from 11 October 2026. Includes the villa and its pool, daily half board, return shared seaplane transfers for two, green tax, the butler, and the added values listed below. Flights to Malé are not included.

Indicative, in INR, converted from the contracted USD package at the time of writing. Minimum stay three nights. The contract names green tax and the seaplane as included and says nothing either way about service charge or GST, so we confirm the final invoice position with the resort on every booking before you pay anything rather than printing a number we cannot stand behind.

Stay longer and the nightly cost falls hard

About ₹2,36,300 of every price above is the seaplane, and you pay it once whether you stay three nights or ten. That changes the shape of the decision.

Three nights in an Ocean Pool Villa works out at ₹2,91,200 a night. Seven nights works out at ₹2,38,300 — 18% less per night for the same villa. Each night beyond the fourth adds ₹1,98,600.

This is also a resort built around a programme rather than a beach. Three nights is barely a consultation and two treatments. If you are coming for the reset rather than the photograph, five nights is the floor.

Three things the table tells you

• The sunset upgrade is nearly free at three nights. Sunset Ocean Pool costs just ₹10,400 more than the standard Ocean Pool Villa over three nights. At four nights the gap widens to ₹27,700. And there are only four Sunset Ocean Pool Villas on the island, against ten standard — so if you want one, the constraint is availability, not money. Ask us early.
• The Beach Pool Villa and the Sunset Grand Ocean Pool Villa are priced identically in this band, to the rupee, at every length. That is a real fork: 503 m² of beach plot and a 93 m² interior, against 230 m² of overwater deck and a 92 m² interior with the sunset. Same money, opposite holiday. Pick on where you want to spend the afternoon.
• The two-bedroom villas are for togetherness, not saving. Two couples in a Two Bedroom Ocean Pool Villa comes to about ₹23,38,900 for three nights once the two extra adults are added. Two separate Ocean Pool Villas cost ₹17,47,200. You are paying roughly ₹5,91,700 for the shared roof. Worth it for a family group who want to be under one; not a discount.

Bringing a third or fourth person

An extra adult aged 12 and over is ₹2,19,600 for three nights or ₹2,53,500 for four, plus ₹33,900 per additional night. That figure already covers their seaplane seat — the supplement decomposes exactly into the USD 1,148 return transfer plus the nightly rate, so there is nothing further to add.

A child aged 6 to 11.99 is ₹1,14,000 for three nights or ₹1,32,200 for four, plus ₹18,400 a night. Infants under two travel free on the seaplane.

Villa capacity is the binding constraint here, not price. The standard Ocean, Sunset Ocean and Beach Pool villas take two adults and one child only. For a second child you need a Grand category. Tell us the party before you pick the villa.

Children and the 12+ rule

The island is designed as an adults-only retreat, and children under twelve are welcomed only during the resort's scheduled JOY of BEING Kids Retreat periods. Separately, and regardless of dates: AREKA and CORE, the wellbeing and fitness halls, are for guests aged twelve and over. B'Kidult is the multi-generational space younger guests use.

One gap worth knowing before you plan. The contract prices children from age six upward, while the seaplane rate covers children from two. It says nothing at all about two- to five-year-olds. If that is your party, ask us and we will get it confirmed in writing rather than quote you a number the sheet does not contain.

The villas

Every one has a private pool, a Jadugar butler, a Well-Living Bar, meditative instruments and a pillow menu. One quirk worth understanding: the Grand categories buy you more indoors but not more outdoors.

Above these sit the two-bedroom villas, the wellbeing residences and a four-bedroom at 491 m² indoors. There is one of each of the largest, so ask early. The residences are not on this offer; we will price them separately.

Eating

FLOW holds three kitchens under one roof: SU for pescatarian, Plantae for vegetarian and vegan, and B'Well for meat and poultry. Yutori is the Japanese restaurant. MOJO does global plates at lunch and Mediterranean at dinner, with MOJO Bar alongside from morning to late.

SAI Tea Lounge is the one people talk about afterwards: 72 teas from 16 countries, with a Tea Master and Sommelier running ceremonies and tastings. There is also a wine cellar leaning organic and biodynamic, a Culinary Learning Centre for nutritional cooking classes, and destination dining that runs to a sandbank or the Turtle Treehouse.

Half board covers breakfast and dinner. Lunch is charged.

Wellbeing

AREKA has 37 treatment rooms and transformational spaces. Within it: CORE, which the resort states is the largest fitness centre in the Maldives, fitted with Technogym; KAASHI for hydrotherapy and sauna rituals; SEDA, a sound therapy hall with an outdoor Discovery Sound Path; and AKTAR, a herbology centre running workshops on herbs, oils and natural cosmetics. There is an over-water meditation deck, and no wi-fi inside the wellbeing zone by design.

The package includes the 30-minute consultation and the scheduled group classes. Treatments and the longer programmes are charged. If a full immersion programme is what you are after, tell us and we will price it alongside the room.

The house reef

You can swim the whole island, and most guests who have done several Maldives trips rate this reef in their top tier: big shoals, a resident turtle, eagle rays, blacktips. The water villas sit on the reef itself. Coral cover is patchy rather than uniform, so you are going for fish density rather than a coral garden. Give the arrival jetties a wide berth — there is boat traffic.

Getting there

Seaplane, 40 minutes, included in the price. Seaplanes fly in daylight only, so an international arrival into Velana after 15:30 means a night near the airport before you reach the island. Send us your flights before you book them. A speedboat or yacht is technically possible and takes six to eight hours, which is not a serious option.

Who it suits, and who it does not

Couples who want a quiet island with a purpose to it. Anyone travelling for a reset rather than a holiday, and willing to build days around a programme. Honeymooners who would rather have a tea ceremony than a nightclub.

Not families with under-twelves outside the Kids Retreat dates. Not anyone arriving on a late flight who cannot absorb a night in Malé. Not anyone whose idea of a holiday is a long bar list, though there are DJ nights and the wine cellar is real. And not anyone whose dates fall before 11 October — this band does not cover them, and we will need to go back to the resort for a rate. Drones are not permitted anywhere on the island.
