JA Manafaru sits in Haa Alifu, about as far from Malé as a Maldivian resort gets. Three nights half board in a Sunrise Water Villa is ₹267,600 for two, with return transfers, green tax and every other tax inside the figure.
But do not book three. Stay four and the resort upgrades your transfer to a seaplane at no charge, worth about ₹61,800 for two, and adds fifteen minutes of jet skiing. Bookings close 30 September 2026.
What this actually costs
Each price above is the whole stay for two adults: the villa and its private pool, the meal plan, return transfers, lounge access at Malé and every tax. Flights to Malé are not included.
- The fourth night is close to free. On the Sunrise Water Villa it costs ₹65,100, and the seaplane you stop paying for is worth about ₹61,800. It nets out at roughly ₹3,300. Given the journey north, we would push you to five.
- A split stay can undercut a single villa. Two nights in a Beach Villa plus two in a Sunrise Water Villa is ₹347,400 half board, less than four nights in the Beach Villa alone at ₹362,200. Two villa types for less than one.
- Full board adds USD 70 per adult per night, about ₹57,600 across four nights. Worth it if you eat a proper lunch daily, skip it if you graze. An all-inclusive plan exists and we confirm the supplement in writing before we quote it.
Prices step up about 21% on 1 October, so September is materially cheaper and still inside the booking window. Until 30 September, up to two children under 12 stay, eat, play and travel free. On a family of four that is the largest saving on this page.
Who this isn’t for
Short trips. The seaplane upgrade and the jet ski both need four nights, so three costs you the best inclusions as well as the time.
Anyone whose holiday depends on snorkelling off the beach. A reef runs right round the island and you can enter from your own villa, which is genuinely unusual, but the coral is thinner than that suggests and the drop-off sits a long way out. The fish life is real: turtles, sharks, rays. Budget for excursions. And anyone who wants a lively island. Eighty-four villas, jungle and banyans.
Before you book
- Route through Hanimaadhoo if you can. It takes international flights, so you reach the island without transiting Malé at all, then 40 minutes by speedboat. Ask us before you ticket, not after.
- The alternatives: seaplane straight to the resort jetty, 70 minutes; a domestic flight to Hoarafushi then 10 minutes by boat; or Hanimaadhoo by domestic flight and that same 40-minute boat.
- The beach villas are bigger than the water villas here, 200 m² against 135 m², which is the reverse of most resorts. The Deluxe Beach Villa is 400 m², takes two children, and is the family room.
- In quieter months some restaurants close and the dine-around narrows, so ask what is operating on your dates. Honeymoon extras need a marriage certificate dated within six months.
