The seaplane is in the price. At a Raa Atoll resort 45 minutes out that is usually the number that breaks the budget, and here it sits inside every figure along with green tax and every other tax. Three nights in a Sunrise Overwater Pool Villa is ₹439,400 for two, all in from Malé.

Every villa has a private pool. Breakfast, afternoon tea, an evening aperitif and dinner come as standard, with a butler. Minimum stay three nights, and the package closes on 23 December 2026.

What this actually costs

Pick a villa and a package above and the figure covers the whole stay for two adults: the villa and its pool, the meal plan, return seaplane transfers, green tax and every other tax. Flights to Malé are not in it.

  • Skip full board, go straight to all inclusive. Over three nights for two, full board adds ₹46,300 and all inclusive adds ₹74,100, so every drink you take costs ₹27,800 more than the lunch alone. Two people at a Maldives bar clear that in a day and a half. Premium all inclusive is a further ₹52,500.
  • The split stay is our usual answer for first-timers. Two nights over the lagoon and two on sand, Sunrise Overwater plus Beach Pool, is ₹538,700 for four nights on half board. Other pairings work too, with a minimum of two nights in each villa type.
  • A child costs almost nothing here. Children aged 2 to 11.99 stay, play and eat free. You pay green tax of USD 12 per child per night and USD 380 for the return seaplane, and that is the whole bill.

Who this isn’t for

If there are three or four of you and you want an overwater villa, this island cannot do it. Extra beds exist only in the One Bedroom Lagoon Pool Villas and the One Bedroom Sunset Beach Pool Villa. The Overwater Pool Villas and the Beach Pool Villa take two people and no more, so travelling with a child narrows your choice before you start.

An extra adult is USD 300 per night in the villas that allow one, plus USD 760 for the return seaplane. And if you want to be twenty minutes from the airport, Raa is the wrong direction. This is a quiet island with a butler and a padel court, not a party one.

Before you book

  • Send us your flight details at least ten days before arrival. The resort needs them to hold your seaplane seats, and late details mean a long wait at the lounge. This is the commonest way a Raa arrival day goes wrong, and it is entirely avoidable.
  • Seaplanes fly in daylight only, so the practical cut-off is landing in Malé by about 15:30. Later arrivals go by domestic flight to Dharavandhoo and speedboat, which stretches it to roughly 16:20.
  • The floating breakfast needs four nights. Three is the minimum stay, but few people fly 45 minutes by seaplane for three, and the manta snorkelling happens in the resort’s own lagoon rather than an hour away by boat.

Tell us your dates, who is travelling and whether anyone is under twelve, and we will come back with a transfer-inclusive costing and a straight recommendation on the meal plan. Most people buy the wrong one. Message our Maldives specialists on WhatsApp or send us an enquiry. We reply within 24 hours.
