Take the domestic flight, not the seaplane. It is ₹30,900 cheaper for two, puts you on the island in about half an hour, and runs until 17:00 against the seaplane's 15:30 cut-off. Every price here is built on it, with full board, the flight, the green tax and every other tax inside.
Sun Island sits in South Ari Atoll, beside the one stretch of the Maldives with whale sharks year round.
What this actually costs
Pick a villa and a season above and the figure is the whole trip for two adults sharing. The dropdown dates are not the whole of each season: the shoulder price also applies 6 April to 10 May, 1 to 31 August and 1 to 31 October 2027, the low price 1 to 30 September 2027.
- The cheapest room is not the smallest. The Sun Villa is 46 m² in a garden. The Beach Villa is 35 m² on the sand and costs ₹3,100 more on three October nights. Eleven square metres, or the beach.
- Drinks are the real decision. All Inclusive adds ₹58,700 on three nights and ₹136,900 on seven, about ₹9,800 a head a day. On full board you still get one à la carte meal per person on seven nights or more, and 15% off the rest.
- Length of stay changes the maths. On three nights in the Sun Villa the flights are 45% of the bill. On seven they are 26%.
Not on the dropdown, but we will book them: September 2026, cheaper again at ₹171,000 for three nights in the Sun Villa, and four two-bedroom villas for parties of four or more, from 96 m² up to 465 m².
Who this isn’t for
Anyone who wants a small island. Four hundred and seventy-nine rooms is among the largest in the country and it feels like it, at the buffet and on the beach. Anyone who wants to snorkel off their own villa: there is one good stretch of reef, behind the Italian restaurant, and the rest of the lagoon is sand.
Children are not free here. From 2 to 11.99 they are charged and pay their own flight and green tax, adding ₹102,300 to seven shoulder nights in the Sun Villa. The Deluxe Beach Pool Villa takes two adults and nothing else.
Before you book
- Christmas and New Year are not sold at these prices. 24 December 2026 to 10 January 2027, seven-night minimum, and compulsory gala dinners of ₹53,600 for two on Christmas Eve and ₹72,100 on New Year's Eve. We build those dates by hand.
- Cancellation. Nothing to pay more than 30 days out, 50% from 30 to 15 days, 100% inside 14 days and for no-shows. Payment is due 30 days before arrival, and changing dates or names counts as a cancellation.
- The Deluxe Beach Villa is now the Island Villa, and a garden view rather than a beach view. Same 52 m² room. If you hold an older quote, confirm the view.
- Land after the last flight and your transfer moves to the next morning, so you pay for a night in Malé. Check in 14:00, check out 12:00.
