Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi is about 45 minutes from Velana by yacht, and the yacht runs at any hour. Land late at night and you still sleep on the island.
It is a big resort spread over three connected islands in South Malé Atoll, with eleven restaurants and bars. Every villa has its own pool. Couples take the overwater villas; families tend to prefer the beach villas, with the kids' club open to ages 4 to 11.
What you pay
The price covers four nights for two, with breakfast and dinner every day and the return yacht. Four nights is the shortest stay priced on this page, and every date from 1 October to 20 December 2026 carries the same price.
The Reef Villa with Pool is the lowest price here. Moving from the Overwater Villa with Pool up to the Grand Overwater Villa with Pool adds ₹524,800 across the four nights.
Honeymooners staying within six months of their wedding get Champagne, a flower-strewn bed, a floral bath and a one-hour photoshoot at no extra charge.
What's included, and what isn't
In the price: your villa for four nights, breakfast daily, and dinner daily, either three courses at Tasting Table or an allowance at Li Long, Glow, Zuma, Yasmeen or The Ledge. The return shared yacht and every Maldivian tax, green tax included, are in too. Up to two children under 12 sharing your villa stay, eat dinner from the kids' menu and travel by yacht free.
Not in the price: drinks with any meal, dinner at Terra or The Rock, meals in your villa, spa treatments, excursions, a private yacht, your international flights, travel insurance, Indian TCS, and anything not named above.
Who this isn't for
Anyone who wants a quiet island to wander. Buggies and electric bikes share the paths, and some guests find the traffic busy.
Travellers who want the boat to themselves. The yacht is shared and can be full. A private yacht is available at an extra charge.
Families planning dinner at Terra or The Rock. Children are not allowed at either.
Anyone set on Christmas or New Year. Half board is not offered then, gala dinners are compulsory and a seven-night minimum applies over New Year, so those dates are not priced on this page. Ask us for them.
Before you book
Send us your flight details at least three days before you travel so the yacht meets you. Check-in is from 15:00 and check-out is at noon; an early arrival or late flight is handled by booking the night before or after.
Honeymoon extras need a copy of your wedding certificate when you book. The Two and Three Bedroom Villas and the resort's own private island are available on request.
Full payment is due 30 days before arrival. Cancel 16 to 30 days before arrival and half the price is charged; inside 15 days, the full price. A date change counts as a cancellation.
