A general myth about the Maldives serving ample opportunities & activities for the adventure-enthusiasts is quite misleading. Guests travelling to these magical isles are offered both adventurous and relaxing or non-adventurous activities as per their independent choices to enjoy an interesting holiday.
If there are ample of water sports for the aqua-fanatics then, there are no less options for the lazy bums to float in an infinity swimming pool or simply take dips and laps in the turqouise lagoon nearby, with a direct access from your own villas (both water and beach depending upon the resort you choose to stay-in).
Spend a perfect tropical relaxing vacay in the Maldives. Not every travel needs to be adventure-specific.
Below are few of such non-adventurous, yet interesting activities to indulge in.
For couples looking forward to enjoy a romantic moment in the Maldives, the massage & Spa therapies are one of the most soothing ideas of all. That offers privacy, relaxation and a calm time spend with each other. Many resorts offer couple massage packages (ask our specialists for those).
Numerous resorts like One & Only Reethi Rah, Six Senses Laamu, PER AQUUM Huvafen Fushi grace you with sensual massages on the golden sandy beaches. Delight in traditional massage therapies and enjoy an enthralling vacation.
The massage charges differ from resort to resort and are available in most of the resorts and honeymoon villas.
Maldivian slands like Hulhumalé, Biyadhoo, Fihalhohi, Maafushi and many more are interesting spots to stay at a private beach resort and fancy the blue waters. Savour a romantic memory with your beloved - floating in the dreamy waters, dining under the star-lit skies, enjoying a night admiring the bioluminescent 'Glow in the Dark' beach, enjoy a snorkelling picnic in a deserted island, spend a night on a yacht floating on the gentle and calm Indian Ocean waters; in a nutshell, there is no end to enjoying a complete relaxing, non-adventurous, lazy Maldivian tropical vacation.
Every island has its own speciality. Relax and fancy the colourful coasts at any time of the day. The islets await you round the clock to give you a non-adventurous interesting holiday.
Ask our Maldivian Specialists about all kind of relaxing activities offered by the resorts. Because, sometimes, this very thing becomes a deciding factor for many while choosing which island to stay in during their Maldivian Candid Vacay.
Ithaa Undersea Restaurant is the world's all-glass undersea restaurant located at the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island. At five meters below sea level, Ithaa offers magnificent scenery for a healthy appetite. It graces you with the opportunity to enjoy a delicious meal underwater, in the presence of the aquatic residents swimming by without the possibility of getting wet in the oceanic water! This fantastic and an absolute marvel is open to guests from 11 AM to 2:30 PM (Lunch) and between 6:30 PM to 10:30 PM (Dinner).
Doesn't that sound mystical? Indeed! The Maldives' Glow In The Dark Beach, truly glows under the starry night. This beach is the epitome of a science fiction fairytale. This is an interesting beach that will claim all your fancy and admiration. At night, as the waves dance a euphonious rhythm on the seashore, a glittering green-blue glow emanates from the shore, causing a magical aura. But don't get swayed by the magical notion! It's the work of the bioluminescent planktons that become visible in the warm coastal waters. Make haste to end the day in this romantic spot, and make memories for a lifetime!
A visit to the National Museum, situated in Sultan Park, Male, would make an interesting non-adventurous holiday. Established on the National Day of the Maldives, by the Prime Minister Mohamed Amin Didi; this museum takes you to the era of history and culture of Maldives. A wide collection of historical work of arts, including royal artefacts and antiquity, and stone objects from the Buddhist era and Islamic monarchs are a real delight to devour for the culture-vultures.
The National Museum is at a 40-minute drive from the Maldives airport. Adult tickets cost Rf100 and children's tickets cost Rf20. The museum is closed on Fridays and Saturdays. However, don't fail to visit 10 AM to 5 AM from Monday to Thursday.
