British Airways for the first time has begun to offer flights to the Maldives. This new service will see flights from Gatwick to Male’ in the Maldives, three times a week – on Sundays, Tuesdays and Fridays. The flights have started operating from October 25, 2009. The 777 aircraft with a three-class configuration is operating on these routes.
Interestingly, British Airways is also adding flights and services to Sharm El Sheikh. Richard Tams, the Head of UK & Ireland Sales for British Airways believes that these new routes will be “great assets” to the airlines and will be well appreciated by their customers too. Both these beach destinations are perfect for a holiday getaway.
British Airways customers will have access to a number of incredible tiny palm fringed coral islands each with its own exclusive resort hotel. Each of these hotels will have top-notch services, offering four to five star facilities, as well as a range of activities like snorkeling, sailing, fishing and sight seeing.
