Bangladesh wants to develop Business Tourism relationship with Tripura
A Bangladeshi delegation of 12 members visited the various tourist attractions in Tripura recently. They have shown keen desire to start business tourism with the northeast Indian state of Tripura.
According to Bangladeshi officials, Tripura has huge potentiality for tourism. The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry President Mahbub Islam Runu and Mr. M L Bhowmik, the President of Tripura Chamber of Commerce and Industry stated before the media that Bangladesh was keen to indulge in Business Tourism with Tripura in the near future.
The officials from the state as well as officials from Bangladesh would conduct discussions on related issues to make the efforts fruitful. The Delegation visited Tripura in early August to carry out an on-the-spot study of the tourism division with private initiative. The local government of Tripura has also suggested the government of Bangladesh to try and restart rail communication links between Dhaka and West Bengal.
